Ready To Get Started?
Who we are
Tech4kidz has been providing STEM based learning experiences for students in K-12 since 2013. We have also assisted school districts with integrating technology into their curriculum and providing professional development to teachers so they can engage with their students. We believe that early introduction to coding and other technologies is important for students to build confidence in their skills. Pamela Puri started Tech4kidz in 2013 with the goal of introducing students to coding and other technologies such as graphic design, artificial intelligence, robotics and coding. To achieve this, Tech4kidz values community partnerships to bring learning experiences to students in CNY. Pamela is a CPA and a CFP. She has a Master in Education in Learning, Design and Technology and is currently pursuing her Doctorate in Education in Applied Learning Sciences.
Coding Books
Coding kit includes the following: - 7 books, each containing one full project - 1 book of coding challenges - 1 book of solutions to the coding challenges
Professional Development
This 5 hour in person or virtual workshop is designed to show teachers how to code using Scratch, an MIT Media Lab software platform designed for students ages 8+. Teachers will get hands-on experience building projects and learn strategies to teach these projects to ensure that students contribute to the design process and build their own logic in coding.
Classroom push-ins
Push-ins can be in person or virtual via zoom. Students will build a new project of increasing complexity each week, all while developing computational skills and learning basic programming principles.
One day code-a-thons
Once students gain introductory skills in coding, a code-a-thon can be a great way to showcase their knowledge and add the excitement of collaboration and competition to the task. A typical code-a-thon is 3-4 hours in duration - completion of projects by teams of students, judging based on a coding rubric and awarding of prizes and showcase period.
Educational consulting and curriculum development
We can assist with professional development and computer science curriculum development.
